The Hawaiian Islanders musicians, comprise of Wayne (director) and Charman Aiwohi Sr. The band was conceived in 1987, when both Wayne and Charman, decided to venture out on their own after performing with several other Polynesian groups and halaus. They have traveled all over the state of Texas, and the surrounding states of Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico. Wayne, from Oahu, started playing the bass, but now concentrates on lead guitar, toere, drums and vocals. Charman, from the island of Moloka'i, plays ukulele and is the lead vocalist. Usually performing as a duo, the Hawaiian Islanders will be able to furnish a bass guitar player. The Hawaiian Islanders have performed at private and public functions, and have been selected by several venues such as Hawai'i Visitors Bureau and other major corporations. So, if you enjoy the beautiful and melodic songs of Polynesia, including songs of the past and present, Call us today. Mahalo nui loa!
