Her unique heritage and her love for TOP 40 music allows Yelba to showcase variety music unrivaled by any other musical group. With her VARIETY BAND, she performs dance music ranging from Rock and Roll, R & B, Jazz, Country and even Disco, while entertaining her audiences with her high energy, enthusiasm and charisma. She will even teach your guests to dance Salsa! A celebration with Yelba’s Variety Band assures your guests an evening of fun, laughter, and joy as she encourages all to dance , have fun and hang on for the ride. Yelba is more than an ordinary musician. She graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Cum Laude. While at Texas A & M she participated in the International Student's Talent Show Competition representing Bolivia and Nicaragua, and won second place two years in a row. She then went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, where she also graduated with Honors as a Sord Scholar. Her many years of sales and marketing experience as Vice President of Fortune 500 companies assures you a musician not only brimming with talent and beauty, but with much class and professionalism. Yelba has performed for the Variety Club of Houston with Jazz legend Hubert Laws and was featured performing live on the Fox Morning show . In addition, she has performed at the Houston International Festival, the Corpus Christi Texas Jazz Festival, the Cinco de Mayo Festival, Super Bowl XXXVIII events and recently a Pre-Latin Grammy party for Univision and Exxon Mobil at the renowned House of Blues. Her voice has been described as "the voice of an angel", which has spilled more than a few tears while she performs her beautiful Spanish Ballads and romantic Jazz repertoire. Then, within the blink of an eye, Yelba can break out in a steamy Salsa or an outrageously fun Disco tune sending her listeners wildly dancing and whirling to the exciting sounds of her VARIETY BAND.
